IN MEMORIUM
C. JOHN PATERSKI "STEELE"
In Aeterna

This is a temporary beginning to a memorial for my dear friend. Hoping to place scans of 4 photographs of C. John later on.

Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle, gentle Autumn rain. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. When you awake in the morning hush, I am the swift upflifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft, soft starlight, starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep.

From the movie Beaches with Barbara Hershey and Bette Midler, here's the song Wind Beneath My Wings.
After C. John and I had seen the movie and developed a real love for the way it treated the disease and showed how it changes peoples lives (and even told people inquiring about Viral Cardiomyopathy to see the film); we got the CD soundtrack. One evening he was playing it -- and almost in tears, said: "I'm dedicating this song to, George." Needless to say, I had great difficulty in NOT breaking down myself. Well, at this time, I want to dedicate it right back to him.
Further down the page [eventually] will be another video, -- this one the version of Bette Midler singing the song on concert stage.

Here's an interesting video on HOMELESSNESS. It's called "Listen to the Voices" and it's singer is Inigo Byrne. Both Inigo and the song are up for the "TREBBY AWARDS" THIS year (2007).. GOOD LUCK TO HIM AND THE SONG!!.. [You're gonna LOVE this. Listen very closely to the lyrics/words. About 'cardboard hotels, they sleep on the ground' & 'livin in the shadows, dyin in the cold'.]
